If you can’t use the TV code, you can sign in to HBO Max directly on your TV with your account email. After entering your email, use your password or a 6-digit one-time code that HBO Max emails you.

Choose Use Email Address

On the TV sign-in screen, choose Use Email Address (on the left).

Enter your account email

Move the selection to Email Address, press the select or OK button on your remote to open the keyboard, type your HBO Max account email, and choose Continue.

Enter your password or one-time code

Depending on your device, either enter your password and choose Sign In, or check your email for a one-time code. Choose Use Password Instead or Get One-Time Code to switch.

Pick a profile and start streaming.

Find the one-time code email

HBO Max sends the code from an email with the subject Time Sensitive: Your One-Time HBO Max Code. It should arrive within a few minutes.
Don’t see it? Search every inbox folder, including Promotions, Junk, and Spam.
The one-time code in your email is different from the 6-digit code on your TV screen. The TV code goes on the website; the email code goes on your TV.

‘That doesn’t look right’ message

HBO Max couldn’t find an account with that email. Choose Edit Email Address to try another email, or if you get HBO Max through a provider, choose Connect Your Provider and follow Connect your provider.
