This is an unofficial guide. HBO Max never asks you to call a phone number or pay to activate a TV code. Only enter your code on the official HBO Max website, and for account-specific help use the official HBO Max Help Center.

Sign in on your TV in 3 steps

Open HBO Max on your TV

Open the HBO Max app and choose Sign In. A 6-digit code and a QR code appear on screen.

Go to the sign-in page

On your phone or computer, go to hbomax.com/tvsignin (the official help center lists HBOMax.com/signin).

Enter the code and sign in

Type the 6-digit code from your TV, then sign in with your HBO Max account. Your TV refreshes and you choose who’s watching.
